Giving to Saratoga Central Catholic
We continue to call upon the private and corporate community to help meet our needs to ensure that our school continues to stay strong and competitive. Every donation will help support our educational efforts in so many ways as we continue this important work in the education and faith formation of our students, the future generation of leaders in our community.
Ways to Give
Here at Saratoga Central Catholic we appreciate all you do for our school community and thank you for supporting our events with your time, talent and treasure. Here are just a few ways to give to our school and help support Catholic education in our area.
Saratoga Central Catholic is a non-profit organization and is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore, contributions made to the school from individuals, foundations, and corporations qualify as tax deductions.
Gifts of Cash, Checks or Credit Cards
The simplest way to give. Gifts of outright cash are the most viable form of support for Saratoga Central Catholic. Because they are immediately available, they offer the flexibility to meet our most pressing needs.
To send a gift or use a credit card contact us at:

Pledges
Pledges may be made to the school at any point during the fiscal year. For pledges to be included in our Annual Report, gifts need to be received prior to the fiscal year end June 30th.
Securities
For maximum tax benefits, a gift of appreciated securities may also be given. Stocks and securities may be transferred through your own broker.
Corporate Matching Gifts
Many companies will match their employee’s gifts to non-profit organizations. Many of Saratoga Central Catholic benefactors or their spouses are eligible for corporate matching funds. Simply visit your company’s personnel office to determine if our school is an eligible recipient. If so, let our office know and we will assist you in getting the matching funds for any donation you make to Saratoga Central Catholic. Double the impact of your gift! GE, Saratoga Hospital, Verizon to name a few!
Gifts–in-Kind
This form of gift may be made through the conveyance of goods and services for which the school is billed. As per IRS regulations, the donor should provide the school with a value of the gift-in-kind. Saratoga Central Catholic will then produce a letter verifying receipt of the gift-in-kind.
Gifts of Real Estate If you own property that is fully paid off and has appreciated in value, an outright gift may be the simplest solution. You can deduct the fair market value of your gift, avoid all capital gains taxes and remove that asset from your taxable estate. You can transfer the deed of your home or farm to us now and keep the right to use the property for your lifetime and that of your spouse.
Memorial Gifts
Memorial Gifts
provide an excellent way to commemorate a family member or friend. They also help to further our mission to provide a first rate education.
Gifts of Life Insurance
You can donate a life insurance policy to us or simply name us as the beneficiary. For the gift of a paid-up policy, you will receive an income tax deduction equal to the lesser of the cash value of the policy or the total premiums paid. To qualify for the federal charitable contribution deduction on a gift of an existing policy, you must name us as owner and beneficiary.
Friends in Business
Businesses in the community donate $1000 for recognition and advertising on our website, logo representation in our gym, banners and brochures.
Charitable Bequest also Known as Your Will
At your death, a will serves as a road map telling your personal representative how to distribute your assets to other people or to a charity. Without a will, you are powerless over how your assets are distributed. Instead, the laws of the state where your residence is determine how your assets are divided.
A bequest is simple and convenient. You have a number of options. You can make a bequest for a specific dollar amount or for a percentage of your estate. You can designate your bequest for general use or you can restrict its use. Many individuals establish endowments that honor the memory of a family member or another loved one. These endowments live forever since only the earnings distribution is used annually. Since a will is an important legal document, you should seek an attorney’s help.
